Peru ranks among the world’s great centers of civilization. The highly developed Inca Empire, is reflected in the stunning remains of cities and temples. Older civilizations such as the Chimu and Moche dot the Peruvian landscape as well; Reflecting fascinating cultures. Discover the legacy of these people as you view magnificent ruins that bear silent testimonyto the power of their civilizations. Connect with the influence of the Spanish colonizers from ancient times to contemporary life.

Although these ancient civilizations left no written records, just mysterious and dazzling works in gold, silver and stone, Journeys distinguished enrichment team will illuminate your understanding in a most enjoyable way.

Anthropology U.C.L.A., a major player in the field of Archaeology in Peru, is currently Professor of Archaeology at the Universidad Catollica del Peru, as well as head of the Department of International Relations, and director of the Moche site of San Jose de Moro.
